PT Smelting runs a CSR program focused on waste management, both organic and inorganic, through collaboration with community groups it supports. This program not only aims to reduce the environmental impact of waste but also encourages the utilization of waste into useful and economically valuable products. One of its partners is RDEE (Rumah Desa Eco Enzyme), a community group that processes organic waste through a fermentation process to produce eco-enzymes, a multipurpose liquid that can be used for household and agricultural purposes. To support this activity, PT Smelting renovated RDEE's operational facilities and provided various training programs to increase the capacity of its members.

Furthermore, PT Smelting also fosters the Rumah Kelola Sampah (Residential Waste Management House) group, which focuses on processing inorganic waste, particularly plastic waste. RKS develops pyrolysis technology, a process that converts plastic into fuel that is then used to operate waste collection vehicles in the village. Through this program, PT Smelting provides space, tools, training, and supporting operational needs for Rumah Kelola Sampah. This program serves as a concrete example of a community-based circular economy approach that directly impacts the environment and the daily lives of residents.
