Since 2014, PT Smelting has implemented a mangrove-based conservation and empowerment program in Pangkahkulon Village, Gresik. This program includes planting mangroves on Lewehan Island, Pangkahkulon Village.

From 2014 to July 2025, PT Smelting has planted 77,800 mangroves in the Maangrove Conservation Area of Lewehan Island. As the main destination for ecotourism, as well as the development of Kehati Park as an ex-situ conservation center and the starting point for boat tourism. In addition, Green School coaching is carried out to encourage educational tourism and create a potential market for environmental education.

In supporting the sustainability of the program, PT Smelting also strengthens the capacity of local communities as managers of conservation and tourism areas. Through this collaborative approach, the program aims to create sustainable independent ecotourism that has a positive impact on the environment and coastal communities.
